How Kitchenjam works

True to its name, KitchenJam started in 2012 as informal sessions between musicians around Darryl’s kitchen table in East London. The sessions were built around a simple philosophy — to create a space where both complete beginners and experienced players can grow on their own terms. 

KitchenJam’s approach combines essential elements: technical foundations that give you the skills to express yourself, a community that supports your growth, and instructors who bring professional experience to every lesson.

We’ve moved beyond that first kitchen table, and the sessions have become more structured, but our founding philosophy has stayed the same. Our commitment to creating a place where students don't just learn to play guitar, but discover their own musical voice in the process, remains at the core of what we do.
