Below you'll find detailed accessibility information for both of our venues, so you know what to expect before you arrive.

Nearest step-free station
Canary Wharf’s Elizabeth line, Jubilee line and DLR stations have step-free access.

Distance from station
Approximately 0.6 miles (12 minutes) on foot from the Jubilee Line/DLR entrance via Water Street.
From the Elizabeth Line entrance it's closer to 0.4 miles (around 10 minutes) via Charter Street.
The route is mostly flat throughout.
Buses
The D3, D8 and SL4 buses stop nearby at Churchill Place.
Drop-off
Drop-off points are available on Charter Street and Harbord Square.
Parking
Pay as you go parking is available on Charter Street and Harbord Square.

Blue Badge parking
On-street pay-and-display bays on Charter Street and Harbord Square are free of charge and unlimited in duration for Blue Badge holders.
Canada Square Car Park (1 Canada Square, E14 5AB, entrance on Montgomery Street) has 21 Blue Badge bays and is approximately 0.3 miles (7 minutes) away on foot.
There is step-free access from parking to the Canary Wharf studio.
Entrance and Getting Around
- Step-free entrance with a small lip on the threshold.
- Main entrance: 42 inches wide (106cm). The door opens inwards.
- Internal archway: 40 inches wide (101cm)
- Bathroom entrance: 31.5 inches wide (80cm).
- The studio is step-free throughout.
- Space for wheelchairs and mobility aids: Yes, there is space to remain in your wheelchair during your lesson, or to store a wheelchair or mobility aid at the back of the studio if you prefer.
Toilets
The bathroom inside KitchenJam Canary Wharf is step-free, but it does not have grab rails or an emergency pull cord.
There is an accessible toilet nearby that KitchenJam customers can use - please speak to a member of the team when you arrive, and we can show you where it is.
Sensory Information
As a music school, our spaces can involve noise and busy moments.
Here's what to expect:
Noise levels
There is moderate noise from instruments, amplifiers, and music through speakers.
Typical class sizes
4 – 6 students.
Lighting
We use warm, low-level lighting throughout the studio.
Busier times
Evenings on Thursdays tend to be the busiest.
Gigs, jams and events
These are likely to be louder and more crowded than regular classes. For events held outside of our KitchenJam locations, please refer to the venue's accessibility information directly.
You are welcome to use ear defenders, earplugs or headphones during your visit, and you're welcome to step out for a break at any time.

Getting Here

Nearest step-free station
Stratford Station (Central line, Jubilee line, Elizabeth Line, London Overground, DLR and National Rail) has step-free access throughout via lifts and is approximately 10 minutes on foot.
Stratford International Station (DLR and Southeastern) is also step-free and roughly 3 minutes away at the opposite end of Penny Brookes Street.
The route is mostly flat throughout, although there is an uphill incline on the route from Montfichet Road.

Buses
The 97, 108, 308 and 339 buses stop nearby at Stratford International Station.
Drop-off
There is no dedicated drop-off point directly on Penny Brookes Street, but the nearest convenient drop-off is on the corner of Mirabelle Gardens, approx 30m away.
Parking
The nearest public car parks are Stratford International Car Park (about 5 minute's walk) and the Westfield Stratford City car parks, a short walk away via the shopping centre.
Blue Badge parking
Stratford International Car Park has 50 dedicated Blue Badge bays (located on the ground floor), on a first-come, first-served basis, approximately 5–7 minutes' walk from the venue.
Westfield Stratford City’s car parks also have dedicated Blue Badge bays. Standard parking charges apply.
On-street Blue Badge bays in the immediate East Village area are limited.
There is step-free access from parking to the Stratford studio.

- The studio is step-free throughout.
- Space for wheelchairs and mobility aids: Yes, there is space to remain in your wheelchair during your lesson, or to store a wheelchair or mobility aid if you prefer.

The bathroom is accessible, and has:
