Guitar lessons in Canary Wharf

KitchenJam runs guitar lessons in Canary Wharf from our studio at Harbord Square, Wood Wharf, E14, a short walk from Canary Wharf station. Sessions are small groups, up to five people, with a teacher in the room, and you learn by playing real songs. Evenings and weekends for adults, afternoons and weekends for kids. Start with a free trial session (we call it a Soundcheck), where we find the right group for you.

What's On

  • Classes

    Guitar and bass lessons for kids, teens and adults. Real songs, regular jamming, and building confidence through playing.

  • Jam Sessions

    Monthly workshops built around one song, one band, and a bigger shared jam session. We break it down and play it through, with space to hang out once the playing’s done.

  • Gigs

    Gigs are about taking the music out of the studio and onto the stage. A chance to play live, share the music, and experience performing as part of something bigger.

  • Bands

    Our bands give players a regular space to rehearse, lock in with others, and prepare for the stage. Setlists are built over time, with live shows as the goal.

    8 East Lane, Harbord Square, Wood Wharf, London E14 9QH. It's the new quarter east of the main Canary Wharf estate, a short walk from Canary Wharf station on the Jubilee and Elizabeth lines.

  • When are sessions?

    Weekday evenings and weekends for adults, afternoons and weekends for kids. Our timetable page has the current times.

  • Are lessons one-to-one or in a group?

    Small groups, up to five people, with a teacher in the room. You learn faster when you play with other people, and you're far more likely to keep going.

  • I've never played. Is that OK?

    Yes. Core Guitar is built for beginners, and most of our adult students started from nothing.

  • How do I start?

    Book a free trial session. We call it a Soundcheck: you meet a teacher, play a bit and we find the right group and time for you.

  • How much is it?

    Membership is monthly and covers up to five sessions a month. Current prices are on our prices page.

  • Do I need my own guitar?

    Not to start. We have guitars in the studio.
