EVERYONE'S MADE TO PLAY
We’re supporting the annual National Learn to Play weekend organised by the charity Music for All.
This is a first for KitchenJam, featuring the very best professional amplifiers, instruments, and equipment from VOX and KORG, who, as members of the Music Industries Association and suppliers to KitchenJam, are delighted to support the weekend’s events.
What's On
Kids Open Music Session
Bring your young jammer to the studio to try the guitars and plug into a real amp. After 15 minutes, we run a guided half-hour for ages 7 to 10; no experience needed. Younger brothers and sisters are welcome to come along and try our ukulele corner.
Parents, grab a coffee or join in. It's free, relaxed, and there's no pressure to play anything. We'll finish the session by playing one tune together.
Play Your First Song: Adults Beginner Guitar
Never played guitar, or picked one up years ago and never got going? KitchenJam's 'Play Your First Song' session is a great place to start, and you'll learn to play along to a song with other musicians.
It's a small group with a teacher nearby, so everyone gets a real chance to play. Don't worry about your skill level; we'll start wherever you are, and by the end of the session, everyone will have played one song together.
Song Sprint
Come along and play through songs at KitchenJam. This session is great for those of you who know some open chords and want to play through full songs. We'll warm up together, then play through two or more songs back-to-back, sometimes as many as five, with the whole room playing along. It's a group session, a little noisy and good fun.
